Clay M. Patton

Clay Patton was born in East Chicago and raised in Valparaiso, Indiana. He attended Valparaiso Community Schools from kindergarten thru high school, graduating from Valparaiso High School in 1990. Attorney Patton continued his education at Indiana University in Bloomington receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994 while majoring in Criminal Justice.


Attorney Patton worked for two years as a Court Bailiff for Jasper Superior Court, gaining valuable experience while observing courtroom activities before beginning his formal legal education.


During law school, he served as a law clerk to the Indiana Attorney General. After graduating from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1999, Attorney Patton remained in Indianapolis for five years, working in both the private and public sectors, including his service as General Counsel for a State agency.


He returned to northwest Indiana in 2004 and has been in private practice here ever since.
